Secure your data from prying eyes! MacAppStuff Encrypt will encrypt (and decrypt) files of any type. Simply make a list of files to process, including folders if desired (the contents of the folder will be encrypted/decrypted), and click 'Process'.
You can use MacAppStuff Encrypt protect your own documents, pictures, videos etc from prying eyes, and also to send confidential information to other people (on CD, memory stick, via email etc). They can then decrypt the files using the free application MacAppStuff Decrypt (click here) or by purchasing MacAppStuff Encrypt. Either way, you need to provide them with the correct key to decrypt the file (obviously for privacy reasons don't do this in the same email).
You will be asked to provide a key to encrypt the files (or the key used to encrypt the files if you are decrypting). The maximum length for the key is 24 characters, and it is case sensitive.
Simply use the 'Add' button on the toolbar to add files/folders to the list, or drag and drop from other applications (such as Finder). You can even drop files/folders onto the application's icon in the dock.
Original files can either be preserved or overwritten (overwriting provides better security but carries risks - see the help manual).
If you are not familiar with this application please read this help manual to avoid any problems. Used incorrectly this software can corrupt/lose data. The author of this software does not accept any liability for the corruption of data or loss of data by use of this software.
