MacAppStuff Spoof MAC
This application is designed to change the MAC address under OS X Snow Leopard and Lion 10.7.2. It has not been tested on any other OS. it may not work on some adapters so test it before buying!
Changing the MAC address is illegal in some countries, it is up to you to abide by the relevant laws
Select an interface from the drop down list. In theory you shouldn't need to select one, as the first one listed should be your ethernet connection.
Information relative to that interface is shown, such as IP address, MAC address etc. You can refresh this information by clicking the Refresh" button.
Enter a new MAC address in the "New MAC" edit box. You can use a prefix from a manufacturer, simply select from from the drop down list. You can also randomly generate a new address using the "Random" button.
When ready, use the "Set" button to change the MAC address. If required, you will need to enter any administrator username/password in order to change the MAC address.
Note that internet activity will be disrupted/unavailable while MAC address changing takes place.
After about 10 seconds the information will be updated to reflect any changes.
The original (real) MAC address can be reinstated by rebooting your computer.
The application can be added to your log-in items so that it starts when you start/reboot your Mac. This enables you to easily set a new MAC address every time you start using your Mac.
You can also tell the application to provide a suggested MAC address whenever you run the application.
